VT Tragedy #1

I have two urgent prayer requests.
If you have watched CNN or Fox News this morning then you have already heard about one of them. Unfortunately, they don't broadcast the other.

1. This morning there was a gunman on campus that shot 2 students in a dorm called West AJ, with one fatality reported. This took place on the 4th floor of this dorm.
Believe it or not, out of the hundreds of dorm floors on the campus of Virginia Tech, we (especially my VT Campus Director; Doug Rose) have spent the MOST TIME sharing Christ with students on this very floor and a number of them are in Bible studies and come over on Wednesday nights for spaghetti dinner.
At this point, we are unsure as to what students were shot.
Please pray for this situation and all that is to follow.
I am contacting the Dean of Students about our staff team being part of the follow up plan with students.

2. This is the story you unfortunately won't see on CNN. Yesterday afternoon I had the privilege of praying with a student, Evan Harris, as he committed his life to Christ. Evan and I have been getting together every week since January to run and then spend time looking into the Bible concerning who Jesus is and what it means to be a Christian. It has been an awesome journey with Evan and I am excited about the man that God is going to make him into over the next four years. Please pray for him and his growth as a new Christian.

Thanks for your partnership.
